Resumen del Libro

Si alguna cosa caracteritza el petit poble costaner de Melia és la creença popular que les estrelles poden influir en la vida dels seus habitants. Allà viu la Gal·la, una noia que passa els dies treballant en una floristeria. Tot canviarà amb la tornada d'en Néstor, un dels seus millors amics de la infantesa. Però la Gal·la ja no és la mateixa d'abans. Un seguit d'esdeveniments que van passar el darrer any l'han tornat solitària i una mica esquerpa. Quan es presenta l'oportunitat de treballar per al diari local i dissipar així els mals records que l'aclaparen, es creua en el seu camí la Constança, una anciana molt elegant que farà sortir a la llum els secrets de la família de la Gal·la tenyits de dolor, però, sobretot, d'esperança. La Gal·la haurà d'aprendre a perdonar els fantasmes del passat mentre troba la manera de perdonar-se a ella mateixa.
