Monsenor Agustin Roman

Resumen del Libro

Libro Monsenor Agustin Roman

Salvador Larrua-Guedes (Camaguey, Cuba, 1942) went to grade school and high school in Catholic schools in Cuba. He received degrees in journalism and mathematics, as well as a doctorate in Economics. He is a registered investigator at the Archivo General de Indias in Spain. Ex-professor at the University of Havana and the Cuban Seminar (San Carlos), he is the author of 42 history books. Monsignor Roman was a holy man, totally given to virtue, as we can observe reading the events in his life, witnessed by the thousands of people who knew and revered him. It is for this reason that this biography is titled Monsignor Agustin Roman: Spiritual Guide of the Cubans, but his work is so broad and transcendental that it was truly also a spiritual guide for Latin American, Haitian and North American Catholics. Mons. Thomas G. Wenski, Archbishop of Miami

The project focuses principally on Las Casas' most ambitious text, Historia de las Indias (1522-1527), although examples are also drawn from De unico...
