Esta revista fue realizada clandestinamente por un colectivo de cristianas y cristianos que se asumía “en constante nacimiento”. En razón de su fe, el colectivo tuvo el coraje de arriesgar su propia vida para modular una voz política disidente. El primer número de la revista explicita que la “simple proclamación explícita de la verdad, asumir sus riesgos pero también su eficacia liberadora es la tarea de NO PODEMOS CALLAR”. Los integrantes de la publicación siguen siendo, en su inmensa mayoría, desconocidos hasta el día de hoy.

En el primer volumen, Guaman Poma de Ayala relata la historia del Imperio inca: biografías de la jerarquía incas, ordenanzas legales y finalmente, informa de una realidad simbólica sobre la vida en los Andes, concretamente la vida en el Cuzco como centro del mundo andino.
