The Design of the home continues to be of great interest to both architects and designers. How to configure a living space according to the characteristics of a site and the specification of the client is still the starting point of any house project. However, the final solutions can be as diverse as they can be interesting. This publication takes a specific look at the way architecture will evolve when regarding inhabitations around the world due to climatic changes and different cultural expectations.

El presente trabajo del profesor Madia pretende despertar el interés en el lector, de la necesidad de entender a la Arquitectura como testigo palpable de la evolución social en el mundo y en lo regional, nacional y local, pretendiendo a su valoración testimonial y su preservación. The book is the resulting papers from the Seminars of Latin American Architecture (SAL) organized by CEDODAL as an example of academic cooperation between Latin American architects who share their concern for the conservation of the region's architectural patrimony. This edition comprises case studies and historical, economic, social and architectural analysis of the farms and landowners of the haciendas and estancias from 7 countries of Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, México, Perú and Puerto Rico.
