Resumen del Libro

Paloma acaba de cumplir doce años cuando se le presenta la oportunidad de viajar a Cuba, donde su tía supervisa la construcción de un hotel. De la mayor isla del Caribe no sabe mucho más que lo que le ha contado un tío bisabuelo no del todo en sus cabales. Paloma va a descubrir por sí misma la compleja realidad cubana y, en compañía de los amigos que hace al llegar, intenta averiguar si es cierto que su viejo pariente dejó escondido un tesoro antes de escapar de la revolución de 1959. Estrenada en francés en el año 2000, la primera versión de esta novela se alzó con el Premio de la Ville de Cherbourg y quedo finalista del Prix de Jeunes Lecteurs, ambos en Francia. Aventura, misterio, amores complicados y diversos desafíos a la fuerza de la amistad esperan a Paloma y sus amigos… y al lector, quien podrá prolongar la experiencia en La Isla de las Alucinaciones, novela destacada con el Premio Avelino Hernández de Novela Juvenil en 2016.
