Once inhabited by members of the Arevaco tribe, archaeological evidence has revealed that the site was occupied from the 7th to 2nd century BC. This study outlines the history of the site, changes in the nature of the settlement, the construction of its defensive walls, and discusses the domestic and industrial activities that took place.
