This illustrated version of the traditional poem allows beginning readers to gain confidence in their reading and comprehension skills while further exploring their abilities to recognize shapes. Through a shared reading experience, children are encouraged to retell the events and shapes that each character sees. Perfect for beginning readers and for those who cannot yet read, the colorful illustrations act as a useful tool to assist in the understanding of the storyline. This larger-sized Lap Book is the perfect size to use for reading aloud, partner reading, and small group instruction.
