The Design of the home continues to be of great interest to both architects and designers. How to configure a living space according to the characteristics of a site and the specification of the client is still the starting point of any house project. However, the final solutions can be as diverse as they can be interesting. This publication takes a specific look at the way architecture will evolve when regarding inhabitations around the world due to climatic changes and different cultural expectations.

Describes the degree and license mechanisms for the professional practice of architecture in Peru from the first courses in the 19th century through the beginning of the 20th century, with a detailed presentation of the school formation of the architects from 1910 to 1950 in the School of Engineering of the university. The book was originally the author's masters thesis and won the prize "Héctor Velarde" during the XI Bienal Nacional de Arquitectura, organized in 2004 by CAP.

El tema central del texto "Ciudades y Territorio en América del Sur, del siglo XV al XVII" es producto de los temas tratados en el curso "América Antigua. Arquitectura y Planeamiento" que desde hace 15 años lleva a cabo el arquitecto Jorge F. Buján en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. En este caso el texto se enriquece con las investigaciones de los autores invitados: José Canziani, Rodolfo Raffino, Reinaldo Moralejo, Guillermina Couso, Devora Manuel, Jorge Buján, Ana Igareta, Luis María Calvo y María Teresa Iglesias. El presente libro es producto de tres cursos de capacitación impartidos por el autor al personal de Secretaría de Obras y Servicios de la Ciudad de México, a través de la División de Educación Continua y a Distancia de la Facultad de Ingeniería, con sede en el Palacio de Minería perteneciente a la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
