Latin America and the Caribbean Demographic Observatory 2017

The Demographic Observatory 2015 contains selected indicators from the 2015 revision of estimates and projections for the populations analysed. The figures contained in this publication are a revision of those presented in the Observatory 2014 and include updates of the estimations and projections of national populations from 1950 to 2100, taking into account new information sources available for Chile and Guatemala. Future issues will incorporate new estimates and projections, also prepared using the component method, but by simple ages and calendar years.

La presente obra trata sobre cómo los interéses públicos y privados fueron dos elementos de importancia en la conformación del territorio y la propiedad entre finales del siglo XVIII y mediados del siglo XIX, tomando como casos de estudio las salinas del Peñon Blanco. Durante ese periodo se repasa la interacción entre diferentes espacios geográficos relacionados con las fronteras político administrativas de lo que ahora conocemos como los estados de San Luis Potosí y Zacatecas.

Análisis histórico de la evolución de las sociedades indígenas de la región de Oaxaca durante los siglos XVII y XVIII, periodo en el cual reformularon creativamente sus identidades étnicas mediante una adecuada interacción entre la dimensión imaginaria y los planos social y político.
